BOY'S BRIGADE

The new session has now started

Although few in numbers we are pleased to confirm that we have two 17 year old boys who will be going for their Queens Badge. This is the highest award in the Boys’ Brigade movement and follows on from them gaining their President's Badge last session. This award will involve them having to take responsibility within the BB or church, provide voluntary service or support to others outside of the BB and church and participate in a completion residential weekend at the Scottish Headquarters at Carronvale. We wish them all the best in their endeavours.

We also have a new officer who, this summer, completed the second part of his KGV1 course at Carronvale. This course has a SCQF credit rating by the SQA and is endorsed by the Standards Council for Scotland. He started with us as a 6 year old Anchor Boy is now a fully qualified Lieutenant in the company. Congratulations to him.

Anchor Section for P1. P2 & P3 boys meets at 6 pm in the East Church Hall.

Junior Section for P4, P5 & P6 boys meets at 6.30 pm, also in the East Church.

Company Section for P7 upwards meets at 7.30 pm in Rankin Church hall.
