Boys' Brigade

The new session of the Boys’ Brigade started on Thursday 31st August 2017.

Anchor Boys for P1-P3 in the East Church Hall from 6pm to 7pm.

Junior Section also in the East Church Hall from 7 pm to 8 pm

Company Section for P7 upwards in Rankin Church Hall from 7.30 pm till 9.30 pm.

We are always looking for new boys who want to join our Company and more importantly any adult who is willing to give up one hour per week to assist the officers in the development of youngsters in our area. We only have three qualified officers and with three sections we need additional adults to help us to comply with Child Protection Regulations. Any questions please let us know via the Contact Form on this website.

In June, two members from 1st. Strathaven Boys' Brigade received their Queen's Badge award at a special presentation in Kirkton Parish Church, Carluke. They were among the 67 boys from Lanarkshire who were presented with the highest achievement in the Boys' Brigade movement. To gain this award the boys had to spend two residential weekends at the BB Headquarters, Carronvale along with other various tasks within their own community. Sadly this means that the boys who have spent 12 years in the Company will leave us as they pursue their careers. We wish them well and trust that they will have fond memories of their time spent in the Company.
